I use art as a tool to provoke feelings that can be hard to name. My work lies at the intersection of emotion and craft.

M. Camille MacRae is a Bay Area light artist working primarily with glass, gas and found objects. She creates neon sculptures and images that are influenced by current events, emotional turmoil and the universal desire to escape.

The goal to gain bodily knowledge of the material is central to her practice in tandem with her desire to integrate digital methods. Her background is in industrial design and model building.

She subscribes to the art as therapy model and is influenced by speculative fiction, commercial neon signage, and cultivating main character energy.
